The Musical Art Experience!
At Mozart to Monet, in our Music & Art Combonation Classes, We want children to feel that music and art go hand in hand. Artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, and Monet, Mozart, J.S. Bach and Vivaldi are among the greatest artists, and composers the world has ever known. One class we offer Mozart to Monet, for example, combines both music & art together. In this class, we touch both on art and the musical movements of the time. By playing the music of a specific time period, we encourage children to place themselves in the shoes of these great artists and pretend that they are standing on a balcony painting “Starry Night” right alongside Van Gogh, while listening to French musician Claude Debussy or Chopin! At Mozart to Monet, we want to fully immerse our children in all the arts have to offer.
On occasion we will invite accomplished Artists to come visit a class, and talk to, or play for the kids...it's quite inspiring!
Music, Art & Story:
Make-believe, Masterpiece & Melodies
Ages 2-4 yrs

Make-believe is a wonderful thing! In our Make-believe, Masterpiece & Melodies class, we read a story of the day ranging from dogs who want to do Ballet, Mice who want to perform at the MET, and Vegetable gardens where chocolate bunnies grow!
After our story, Children will listen to some Classical pieces, perhaps even a little Opera, and talk about the story. We will move into "the Land of Make-believe" where we can sing, dance, play & pretend. Most weeks, we will be accompianed by beautifully played LIVE piano music, or some special guest musician. Children will have a small snack before doing an Art project based on our Story of the Day.

Music & Art: Messy art & Music

Children Love Art - in all forms of it! ...and they benefit from early exposure to the arts. Each class we will get to know a great artist, and then make our own piece of art! While listening to Live Piano & prerecorded music of the time, we will cover the great works of Claude Monet, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso & Jackson Pollock in a fun & kid friendly manor that will give your child a foundation for Fine Art! We may even add a little Opera & Art to the mix! Children will be creating collages, paintings, drawings and using many messy mediums like shaving cream & paint, glue, paper, feathers, clay, you name it, to make our own Masterpiece!
